MAM installation requirements?

I've read several threads but need to get some confirmation on requirements.

Regarding PHP versions. Can I run v5.2.10? It is the latest stable version according to https://www.gsmanager.de/www.php.net. If not what is the latest version I can use for this?

I read another post that SQLITE is required. Is that correct?

5.2.10 is fine to. There shouldn't be any problems.
Yes, SQLite is required if you want to save the player's stats

Important is, that you PHP Version is 5.0.8 or higher.
For running the permant save of statistics you need SQLITE2 or better.
And you need the php5-sqlite Extension for PHP.
